How Does the Process Work?

Software Installation: A Gtek Technical Specialist will install and setup automated backup software onto your computer(s) or your server. An encryption key will be setup and then the files on your computer will be selected for automatic backup. Backups may be easily restored 24/7. |

Data Encryption: Gtek encrypts each file using 256-bit AES encryption. Only you will have this encryption key. It will never be transmitted over the Internet and it is never stored on our servers. This means that only you can access your files. Each file that you backup is encrypted using this key and remains encrypted until you restore it and it returns to your computer. |

Data Compression: All of your files will be compressed before they are sent to a secure offsite server, so each gigabyte of storage space that you pay for could store 2 or 3 times, or even more of your data. |
