How Does the Process Work?

Sign up for VoIP Services: Contact Gtek and sign up with VoIP Services. Discounts are available when you bundle Broadband Internet and VoIP together. |

Testing and Setup Phase: It takes 2 to 3 weeks for your phone line to be setup and configured for use. This is a normal wait time to wait for your VoIP services to be tested and setup properly. |

VoIP Activation: After the Testing and Setup phase, Gtek will deliver the VoIP device, either through mail or in person, and finish setting up your VoiP Services. |

Voice over Internet Protocol is the routing of voice conversations over the Internet. This is also referred to as VoIP, IP Telephony, Internet telephony, Broadband telephony, Broadband Phone and Voice over Broadband.

What about 911 and E-911? |

We currently offer the most sophisticated e-911 on the line-side and work with the Class 5 to support the trunk-side, network-facing functions of e-911, LNP, and 800 services. Since 911 requires the call to be routed to the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) associated with the physical location, we have a technique that allows us to ensure the 911 call is routed to the correct PSAP with the correct phone number.

Most existing phone numbers can be ported over to a VoIP line. You will need to contact a Gtek Representative to verify if your number is ready to be moved over to VoIP services.

A broadband internet connection is required. Contact Gtek to get your VoIP service activated! Gtek will supply everything else to get you started!

The service will work with any analog phone (no LCD support possible), Cisco IP phones, and Polycom IP phones.

| How long does it take to get setup? |

| From start to finish, the process will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks until completion. The amount of time required to fulfill this order is dependent on the phone company and order processing procedures. |
